BIOGRAPHY
Born in 1977, Thomas S. Kerese was inspired by animation, comic books, and movies at an early age. Because of this, drawing became a frequent hobby that grew throughout the years. While in high school, Thomas took classes in mechanical drawing which helped develop his technical hand. Thomas began to take art more seriously at Middlesex County College in 1995. Art classes at MCC gave him the chance to work from a live model, which also introduced him to different mediums such as charcoal, pastels, and acrylics. In 1998, he enrolled at the DuCret School of Art in Plainfield, New Jersey. DuCret was where Thomas learned a variety of key elements in art that MCC did not offer: Anatomy, Perspective, Color, Design, as well as classes in Drawing, Watercolor, Oil painting, and Digital Art. Thomas graduated from DuCret in May of 2001 with a degree in Commercial Art and a minor in Illustration. Currently, he is working as a Freelance Graphic / Web Designer in Central New Jersey, while receiving several fine art and illustration commissions.
