WEB DESIGN
I started doing web design about four years ago. The first few websites I considered practice because they were either for myself or my friends. Once I got a fairly good understanding of the web, I got some freelance work from DK Design Services which taught me so much more. Currently, I've been maintaining several websites from personal freelance, while getting the occassional job from DK Design Services. Here are a few examples - Click screenshot to visit website.
www.michaelckregler.com
A basic yet professional site for my good friend, Mike Kregler, who is an accomplished pianist/composer. Mike wanted a fairly simple website which would focus on his career in music. The site features original Midi sound files written and arranged by Mike himself.

www.useyourowndiscretion.com
This was the first website I designed, which was for my friend Scott and his band Discretion. Everything was left up to me, as far as the design and look of the site. I knew I wanted it to have the same feel as their music - dark, raw, and gritty. Unfortunately, Discretion disbanded in 2002 and the webspace is no longer active.

The Year in Fishing
The 2002 Chronicles: New Jersey
Originally a page with a hand full of fishing pictures, "The Chronicles" created itself since I kept fishing and uploading the images. Over time, I started to break it up into months which made it easier to navigate.

The Year in Fishing
The 2003 Chronicles
The following year, I had to do it again. In 2003, I got a lot of nice pictures between myself and my friend Jamie, who had gotten a digital camera. I noticed I added a lot more text to this version - listing the places and times fish were caught, giving "tips and advise", describing conditions, and sometimes just plain rambling.

North Dakota Moose Country: The Archives
Since there are so many strange websites on the internet, Mike Kregler and I thought we would add another. NDMC: The Archives is set up to look like a factual website about the moose of North Dakota , but it is anything but that. According to NDMC, moose are 3 feet in height.
